We went when nations began to open up after covid. Valetta was a worthwhile visit as was the fishing town of Marsaxlokk. All very doable on public busses in an afternoon.

Their comment regarding work permit suggests they expect approval of work permits within 'coming days' I did find that interesting given there is no real function of tracking matters with UKVI.
