The old Roker Park open end was very cold. Though as BoT says, an almost empty Beehole end could be bad.

But non of them compares to Silverlands at Buxton, where you often comb the frost out of your eyebrows at half time. ;)

They went up in the early/mid 70s. For some reason, thought Everton at home was the first time. I'm wrong, someone put me right, but now can't recall who! The was just one fence first.
