I think you could see how referees think by Mike Dean's reaction on Sky. "It's a penalty, he felt a touch and went down, like a good striker". Since when has any 'touch' been a foul?

Thanks for putting this on Steve. Andrew was my friend for 50 years and the Best Man at my wedding. He was a thoroughly good bloke and an obsessive Claret. We spoke every week even after I moved down south and I will miss him enormously. RIP mate. :cry:

I've no problem with us having a new ref, they've got to start somewhere, but what a surprise that none of the 'big' clubs have to deal with them. Try them out on the smaller clubs, so nobody will bother if they make a cock up.

Last season, the moron at Bournemouth thumped it constantly throughout the game. Their fans didn't sing or chant in time with it. All it was was a bloody awful noise!

Has anybody received their Membership Pack yet? Not partcularly important I know, but I bought the standard membership over 2 weeks ago and although I did receive a confirmation email and did manage to buy some tickets, I haven't received the pack yet. Thanks.

I now live in Bournemouth but went up to Burnley for Monday's game via the Rhondda to pick up my 9 year old grandson. He's now a Claret but has no connection with Burnley, apart from me :) . It's made him very popular with his Cardiff supporting friends! :lol:

Just come back from Tenerife and we were in a Karaoke Bar and I thought it was fabulous hearing an 8 year old girl belting out songs by Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Jenn Bostic to a standing ovation. Wonderful stuff.

Unfortunately they will be waiting for the Police. There will be restrictions for that game. If you have a Clarets Number though, you shouldn't have a problem getting a ticket when they go on sale.

I don't see how they can reduce the prices, because most of the tickets have already been sold at the full price, Can you imagine the stink some people would make if they were charged more than somebody who they regarded as a 'part timer'. The club can't win if they reduce prices.

There was a polio outbreak in Burnley in 1958/59. I know because I got it and spent 5 weeks in Marsden Hospital. Luckily I made a full recovery, but unfortunately a girl in the same class as me at St John's Ivy Street infant school wasn't so lucky and ended up with her legs in calipers. :(
