Re: So what did we learn from today?

Why the hell is Hart playing ahead of BPF when Hart will be gone in summer and BPF will likely be Pope's replacement if/when he eventually leaves. Surely better to give the latter some first team game time? Or is BPF injured?

Danny Murphy often gives us credit but tonight suggests we were fortunate to win and didn't play all that well overall. Lowton is devoid of confidence at the moment. Consequently he is permanently a yard off the pace, can’t pass and his decision-making is awful. Doesn’t help when you are Coming into a team that is also bang out of form. I don’t think he is a bad player, just playing badly at present. Personally think...

Totally agree with Hendrick. I was stunned when he came off other than it was his position we were changing. Westwood or Cork would have come off for me. We’ve tried to build a competitive squad with two similar standard players in each position. This could become a problem in future as potential new signings are lik...

To be fair, I think Mee and Tarks have been two of our better players in recent games. Not sure bringing Gibson in would materially improve anything. Kicking was let down by playing in carpet slippers in the first half. However, he is one of few keepers who are able to launch it long with either foot. He therefore rarely gets caught out dallying on the ball when it is on his wrong foot.

Tactics are the same for most away games. Sit deep, keep it tight, try not to concede and hope to nick a goal on the break or from a set piece.
