thanks Bumba...one thing I'm not sure is if a flexible ticket allows you to get any train on that day due to potential flight delays.

ireland train travel
I am hoping to take the train from Dublin to Cork in May but have never experienced irish trains before. As I am flying to Dublin first I may get delayed and it is therefore awkward to book a set train. I am also coming back a week later. Can you pay at the station on the day? Do you need to reserve...

Re: Burnley to York/Harrogate via Blubberhouses
Another spanner in the works on the official alternative route is at Burley in Wharfedale near where all the speed cameras are. A massive housing expansion at the Ilkley end of Burley "requires" traffic management starting on Monday and it does not say how long for. This was previously in situ a few...

As likely as not, we'll be competing with Bolton again

And possibly Stevenage as well.

There is a hold line well short of the runway which allows for wingspan. Also flashing yellow lights warning of active runway ahead.

Re: Ground Improvements
Anything but safe. I've seen incidents where people have pushed forward and it's been like a domino effect with people getting injured. Standing on the old terracing was much safer than the situation we have now. On the subject of JHL 1-3, isn't this where people had season tickets suspended for st...

Re: Ground Improvements
All this talk of "safe standing", are there any statistics of injuries at turf moor due to standing fans?
JHL blocks 1 -3 all normally stand, along with most of the CFS including the away lot. Thats a lot of fans standing at theur seats, but what says it is actually unsafe?

Re: Worst hotel you have ever stayed?
Back in the early 80s I was working at Lakenheath in Suffolk with my assistant. We looked for B&B and saw a sign for i one whilst driving along. As we entered, I noticed the house name was Anfield. I said to my oppo that that was a funny coincidence as its where Liverpool play. We knocked on the doo...

Re: VAR question
Bear in mind, in real life of the EPL , the linesman is giving himself repetitive neck strain injury trying to judge when the ball leaves the foot whilst at the same time watching the striker/defender positions. S9 VAR , if used correctly, should give a better answer. That said, I hate the waiting g...

1. People who approach motorway down a slip road going at 40mph, hoping to enter lanes travelling at 70mph plus, and then get worried and slow fown even more!
2. Vehicles blasting down country lanes like they are one way streets and that they own them.

Advice please...
I have never tried the fan zone before but I am giving it a go tomorrow. I have my 2 "tickets" which have been emailed as "collect" but with no QRcode dubry.
Do I "collect" at the ticket office or at the fan zone, or in MIddlesboro?
