There's more than one way to win a football game, what annoys me is the so called top teams moaning at the methods another team uses to get a result. It happens with us all the time, you could probably count on one hand the times we've deserved to win a game of football according to the opposition m...

Re: View from our Head of European & International recruitment

Good read, it must be hellishly tough to find players you think will improve us within our budget. Then convincing Sean Dyche you're right, before the club has even delved into the character of the player which we also value highly or got the green light from the board to approach. All of that's bef...

My first away game was Hartlepool away in the early to mid 90s. I was very excited, and in the naivety of youth fully expected us to get 3 points. We got pumped 4-1 and I remember thinking "But, we're actually good at turf moor, who was that I just watched?"

It would be ridiculous to bench vydra after that. His morale would sink like a stone, and it basically tells any fringe players that it's nigh on impossible to break into the first 11 regardless of what you do when given the chance. The idea that we shouldn't play Vydra because of our lack of option...

In the last couple of minutes there it looked as though Vydra was knackered! Or lazy. Two times he laboured closing down, so I hope he gets a sharp reminder that this is his golden chance at half time. On the flipside without Wood, I hope we find a way to feed Vydra (and Jay) into feet as well as th...

Fantastic defender and leader. Not sure what his limitations are? He's been brilliant for us, and is a top defender. His limitation is fairly clear, and the reason he's not at one of the top clubs and/or in the England squad like Tarks. His ability on the ball just isn't as good as the very best de...

I don't really get why this works from a commercial perspective either. Is the premier league (and la liga, serie A etc) + champions league combined not more valuable than decimating each domestic league in favour of a single European super league?

I think the best we can hope for is Hart off the wage bill and a decent fee for Wells. Or a part exchange for Brownhill. I'd be happy with that for a January window. There might be a surprise loan deal in the offing too who knows, much can happen on the last day.

Bit of disrespect for Norwich is this post analysis. We got beat by a premier league team albeit a lowly one, and put out a strong team ourselves. If you look at the current form guide (six matches tends to be the industry standard) as it reflects the most recent form then you see we are no better or worse than our current rivals for relegation. I don't disagree we still have a good chance of survival, and we always fail to remember how quick...

It's a weird decline. At one point he was actually a very important cog in our attacking play.
