Re: Today’s thread
We’ve actually not been bad out of possession. The issue is the lack of pace or movement when in possession imo Not for me we drop into a mid low block and make it easy to get picked off. I don’t get why we don’t press like high this season instead we sit off and allow them to play through/round us...

No shape Part press mix of mid block and individuals only press Worst of all no desire or identity at all. I don’t blame Trafford but you spend z amount of millions and make the team weaker with people talking about the future is ok because of resale. The future was now what a load of tosh we have l...

How much is Berkley release clause let’s buy it
Overall there a team of fighters who maximise what they have with a bit of premier league know how.
We ain’t.
It was a foul I think but overall it doesn’t gloss over they have a squad for here and now

Centre backs for me have done some great emergency defending
Our midfield and forward line lightweight and slow to react.
Overall strange night I think they been there for the taking no doubt a better side than us but they been poor tonight too.

Ok don’t trust me they’re massively different types of players. One is forward thinking handles the ball well in tight areas and has so much game 1v1 and an end product and improved his defensive work. The other was old fashioned full back for me. No there no guarantee but if we are in for him he th...

Yes and the lower end teams are league 2 at best. The standard of the league is not the same level the championship. Pretty certain VK alluded that it was a step up when he came to Burnley. I think there’s some talent in the MLS these days, I do wonder how the likes of Mukhtar, Reynoso, Lucho Acosta, Almada and Zelarayan (I know he left to Saudi mid season and was replaced by Rossi) would fare in Europe. I like Newcastles suggestion of Smal for left back. I’d have a look at Owen Wijndal, former AZ captain hasn’t worked for him since replacing Blind at Ajax. Kai Wagner plays in the MLS, German left back at Philly, wand of a left foot, great attacking threat. Linked with Leeds last summer, ran his co...

There press and movement has killed us they simple pass it round us and through and we are not drilled enough or currently fit enough to cope.
Defensively very poor turn overs with too many people ahead of the ball and too close to our goal.

They have pressed quick and hard and Davis has been an outlet very much a goal against the run but they have players to hurt us.
They have forced turnovers and won the 2nds and duels there getting close to us more there quality at pressing
Hopefully our quality will come out in the 2nd half.
