If Deeney came in would leave us with 3 strikers all the wrong side of 30 plus Wood at 29. You'd like to think we're looking at bringing the age of our squad down a bit instead.

Once a player gets into their final 12 months its only human that their mind will start to wander and they've got half an eye on their next move.
We need to get what we can for him this summer and make sure we replace him properly. I'm sure Dyche already has a few options in mind.

I'd say 20 million for Maddison is a steal in today's market. What have they brought in by selling Maguire, Kante and Chilwell? The lad Justin was signed for peanuts from Luton as well and he's a regular now.

Only time i went was in the awful season under Waddle. Pretty sure it was getting towards the end of September and we scored our first league goal that day. Ended up getting beat 3-1 and came off realising that all the excitement had been misplaced and that we were absolutely dreadful.

We can't rely on the back 5 to keep a clean sheet every week. Particularly with the Mee Tarky partnership likely to be broken up this summer.

India still hanging in there. Pressure on the Aussies to try and score quickly now and bowl India out again. Will be interesting to see which bowlers India can get fit for the England series.

Brownhill is very hard working and industrious but not sure he's got the quality for this level. I realise it won't be easy but we desperately need a bit more quality in the middle of the park, rather than just graft.

I'm not certain, but I believe Burns isn't touring this winter, Sibley does seem to struggle against spin though, and it's been a question mark throughout his career, however he'll definitely be given a chance in the 2nd test, so it's up to him to prove the doubters wrong, and fight for his place, ...

I think Burns and Crawley could be a better bet as openers out in India. Sibley just looks too big and cumbersome against spin.

Shows Indias strength in depth i suppose that they've managed to stay competitive. England may get lucky and be facing a second string bowling attack out in India next month, which would make life a bit easier.

Scott Arfield had been released by a bottom half Championship side when we signed him. Likewise Westwood was regarded as a bit of a joke by a lot of Villa fans. I wouldn't be upset with signing Kenny at all. At 23 he's a good age as well.

So to summarise if things go well ALK can make a hell of a lot of money from the club without putting much in themselves or taking any real risks?
But if things go wrong it won't affect them too much as its the club thats been saddled with debt?
