i'm not suggesting that some pubs aren't doing their utmost. But I doubt that they can guarantee social distancing when folk have had a few drinks. This will be fraught with difficulty politically but if it can be made to happen it's certainly the right thing to do. The current two tier system is fragmented, confusing, inefficient and unsustainable. The proposals would also mean better alignment to the NHS.
