Re: Burnley FC Accounts 2022/23
Consequence is the biggest issue I have. What is the consequence for Pace & Co if it goes tits up. Kilby and then Garlick had financial & personal interests and risks when they had the club. As fans they would remember the financial ruin the club was in, in the 80’s…and as a consequence ran the club...

All 3 promoted teams stayed up last season proving its not a closed shop. Spending £100m wisely and accepting you can’t outplay teams like you could in the championship would give you more than a fair chance

The tables have turned, basta*d fans at work are more concerned about us than they are about themselves. We’re better than them and have been for a decade.

Re: Barnes as captain
I’m fed up with hearing the sh*t Barnes is getting.
Whether or not he’s good enough, he’s given 100% playing in a Burnley shirt since we signed him. The guy owes us nothing, we renewed his contract, age and injuries have caught up with him but he doesn’t deserve vitriol he’s received this season.

Re: Pope back in England squad
Pope is the best goalkeeper in the league. He’s not going to get a game for England though. For me, play the “good with their feet” keepers against the shite, but against the quality teams put Pope in. If shots need saving there’s no one better

3 of our party on Saturday don't have a season ticket, but managed to get a ticket for Brentford. I saw several others in the same boat who just went for "the tick" It's been done to death over the years, if you want a ticket for a Burnley away game enough you will get one. This is bang on. Cork for Westwood. Jay Rod coming on for Wout. It’s all marginal, it may or may not make a difference. Ultimately they’re all pretty similar and unfortunately not good enough. How many times did we get a position to deliver to deliver a cross that Erikson did? 2-11 we’re not good enough and it’s bee...

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
It seems we have a chance with Cornet…that said we seem to have moved from targeting players from clubs who don’t want to sell (eg. Dorans, Dawson, Lansbury, Bryson, Hughes, Worrall etc) to targeting players that don’t want to come to Burnley (Cornet, Young, Albrighton, Lookman). In both scenarios i...

Let them have their super League... Please!! It's like Scottish independence. Why do people take such offence at it when all they really want is rid of them once and for all. Absolutely bang on, on both counts. Klopp’s comments sum up “the big six” …it’s an inconvenience playing teams that put up a...

Easily the best manager at Burnley in my lifetime. The players embody everything he has instilled since becoming manager. We should be proud to support a team that gives everything and constantly exceeds expectations against the odds. “Minimum requirement is maximum effort” is a Dyche-ism that I pre...

Hi,
My parents know Ray & family very well. We used to go on family holidays with him when I was a nipper.
As far as I know he lives near Doncaster now (another of his former clubs). My dad has contact details if required.

Hendrick seems to have become a high quality player since March if you listen to some posters on here.
The guy was a decent player who did well for us. Nothing more.
If he’d stayed I’d have been happy, but we’ve lost much better players than Jeff Hendrick.

Re: What or who is to blame?
Yes we should have signed some players. But the biggest issue at the moment is the lack of togetherness between the board, the management & the fans. As much as I want us to sign players to make a difference we must all realise it ain’t going to happen. Dyche’s constant sniping at the board for lack...

I’ve only been watching since the season before the “Orient Game” but when you look through the list of managers after Casper we have a good track record of appointing managers. For me only Waddle & Laws have failed. Granted some of the football from others hasn’t been great but we definitely progre...

I'd love Andone but he wouldn't have the defensive ability our widemen have. This season for Coruna 6 starts, 1 goal & 6 subs,1 goal. So he's not starting every week and yet they are quoting his buy out fee of €30m. Play him in the hole with either Hendrick wide right or bring Taylor in on the left...

CM bang on! It’s the framework that makes the players not vice-versa. While I agree to a certain extent that SA isn’t as effective as Brady...he will be against Spurs, Man Utd & Liverpool over Xmas & NY.
No matter who plays under Dyche we are guaranteed 100% effort.

Saxoman is right on this. Shackell pre & post Dyche was & has been shite. Duff got better under Dyche. Keane looks lost without the framework. It’s no coincidence.
