I remember his first home game because incredibly it was pay on't gate for Wigan in the Cricketfield.

Naturally there were loads of Burnley fans in the Cricketfield, including a last minute dash for me.

The police were pulling out Burnley fans all match. It was like a who's who of Clarets in there.

The chopping and changing of the side was one of the main factors for me.

A lot of the chopping and changing wasn't due to injuries.

Re: Do we still attribute ‘Europe’ to our poor start to the season?

Harry Potts would never have played a weakened side in European competition. Weakened side? 8 of the players who have been starting on this run that we've had, started against Olympiacos at home. 2 more came on later as sub. So the only one who was missing was Tarky who was coming back from an inju...

I don't know what you are after Bordeaux but playing with a high line doesn't suit us.

We are pretty well drilled, but I'd rather our defenders be in front of attackers than behind them.

What if playing a high line makes us good at defending? It doesn't though. We've conceded far too many goals at set pieces, and that goal for Brighton today wouldn't have happened if we just defended properly. Tarky and Mee headed and kicked everything away today from open play. We are good at defe...

The criticisms and possibly comparisons to Lennon and Brady are a little unfair. Rightly so, I think that the expectations on McNeil are a little less from Dyche, than they might be on the others. The standing off thing is by design mostly. We play for the block, allowing the opposition the ball when we defend but putting bodies between us and the goal. Yes he did feel he needed to give it.

There should only be two credible reasons for what happened yesterday.

1. We were desperate for the money.
2. We were desperate for a forward, any forward.

None of which stack up and that's why it's so baffling.
