I note that the biggest critics of virtue signalling are amongst the most fervent admirers of Captain Tom.

I agree that his walking is remarkable but that is not to say it is heroic, which is also not to say that he is not a hero.

My youngest's fave player and he was mascot a few months back. Notice how he always gets the mascot to point out their adult to make sure you get a special wave and great photo opportunities. Little touches of absolute class mark out the terrier in the long grass!

Yes, thanks for the link. I watched most of it and feel exhausted - it was pretty kamikaze at times. A lot more ball carrying and turnover in dangerous areas than I've become accustomed to.
