Not a criticism but you can tell Stephens is used to playing in a three in midfield. Doesn’t give the ball away and much quicker in possession than Cork but too deep and miles away from Westwood.

Exactly why VAR is needed. Don’t like either side but clear penalty. The extended injury time was justified due to the Brighton goal and ensuing celebrations.

Still love it that I got to give him flack for that Preston decision in person, when I finished up sat next to him for a flight from Heathrow to Manchester. All good humoured, of course. He let one go for Blackpool against us at Bloomfield the season after. I thought it was a clear penalty for them...
