Yes, I do have an online current account (via a smartphone app) and it’s VERY convenient to use but there are so many horror stories about accounts being hacked that I’m seriously considering going back to a non-online account however inconvenient it might be.

After doing (a significant amount of) further research I think I need a cavity tray retro-fitting to my very wet west facing wall.

Yes RHansbury it turned out to be a very simple and well managed process. Went into the ticket office 1 hour before the match, asked for an upgrade, presented the child season ticket, paid £10 to upgrade (over 65) and got an upgrade ticket printed.

The Inn on the Wharf is now open (late November 2023). Let’s hope it turns out to be the great pub it used to be and has a reasonable range of good quality real ale.

Can anyone recommend a reliable gas safe engineer who can repair/service a Vaillant (ecotech plus 831) gas central heating Combi boiler? Mine refuses to start and is showing an F28 error code (Ignition unsuccessful).

Do they still become salesmen, run a pub/shop/chippie or even become a bus driver?

Personally I’d watch numerous past episodes of ‘Homes under the hammer’ and become a property renovator/developer.

‘Good quality real ale’ and ‘Sports pub’ just don’t go well together. Keeping a ‘quieter’ area of the pub free from the giant TV’s and Muzak might be a possible compromise.
