Re: FA Cup Replays
The one change pretty much everyone wants is to stop playing semis at Wembley, but that's the elephant in the room for the FA. Easier just pandering to big clubs.

It’d be interesting to see the outcome stats on PL and Champ clubs signing players playing adult football and then chucking them into their youth teams. Even where these players are playing non-league football, I can’t help thinking they’d have been better staying put or making a smaller step to co...

Didn't realise he was 28. No chance we'd be paying any decent amount. Can't think of someone who fits our 'model' less for incoming transfers - rightly or wrongly.

I was at the Norwich game, his last stand. It was pretty shocking and did have an end of an era feel to it. But as above, the squad had been starved of investment and stagnated for 2 years, you can't do that in the Prem. Hard to call how good / bad a decision it was, as two years on we find ourselve...

Forgot about this, the far too late substitution was expected but Fofana staying on was baffling. He was treading water for the last 30 minutes, and wasn't great before that. When we should be pushing for a winner towards the end, we were basically playing with 10 men again.

Can't go back after the restart, that's why the issue at Spurs v Liverpool happened.
Don't think the video ref gets involved on free kicks. I imagine they were pretty desperate for a reason to disallow after seeing the 'free kick' back, but there was literally nothing there, other than poor marking.

The one at Forest is the worst, and it was the telly ref behind it. One of those where they went trawling through footage for anything which could get a perfectly good goal disallowed. Not even a Forest fan appealed for it, totally killed our mini-revival, Foster got (deservedly) sent off soon after...

When we went up with Dyche, our best players hadn't been on loan either, which is a factor. A few references to non-league here, but honestly that's what we should aspire to at half time. You can easily get warm food and a pint without queueing for 20 minutes. You can check the scores. You can talk to your mates / family. It's actually enjoyable.
Just recreate that on a much bigger scale.

There isn't an option to consistently be a top 6 championship club. You either get promoted or you get worse. Unfortunately, that's true. It was quite often a nervy watch last season every time we conceded a set piece.. particularly at Bramhall Lane.
