He lived in Blackburn in the early days. Wikipedia has him of no fixed abode and living in various buildings awaiting to be demolished in 1972 when he won the World Championship.

I used to play at the Elite club in Accy in the early 70s when it was Alex's base, I remember a film crew at the club just after he won the World Championship in 1972. At the same time Dennis Taylor used it, he was an amateur when he first came over.

"Building with the Burnley" which was a Burnley Building Society advert played at half time in the 70s. We at the back of the Longside would dance to it. A mate has a copy and is the first record on after 12 at his annual New Year's party.

Great article, I started watching Burnley in 1962 with my best friend when we were seven. He was a goalie and he idolised Adam. He called his son Adam, sadly he passed away three years ago.

Used it from 2008 to 2013 as pre match pub usually having a meal. used to leave the car there. When Hansons (from Nottingham) had it the standard of beer was ok and the food was acceptable pub grub. But it slowly declined hence the move away.

Simple have a stadium clock, when the ball is not in play stop the clock. Start it when back in play and play 30 mins each way.

I saw Magazine at the original Factory Club in Hulme in the late 70s. Tony was there holding court, I thought he was brilliant despite the obvious ego. The one interview he did that I remember was of Blondie before they were big. Debbie Harry in thigh length boots and the shortest skirt!

In 1981 my stag do was at the Cat's Whiskers, and untypically had the chance to cop off with a rather nice nurse. Any way many years later walking past the place with my son on the way to the turf I mentioned I had my stag do there. What you went playing bingo was the reply!
