Tripps will have no problem with Simeone's demands. Like SD he asks his players to work, work and then work some more. We know Tripps will run all day so I think he'll fit in well.

They seem to be keen to keep the team that came up: El Ghazi signed on a permanent basis, Hause and now Mings.

TBH saw Mings play a few times last season and looked decent - yes, Championship I know - plus can play full-back or in the centre.

I saw Cucurella play (on TV) when Eibar beat Real 3-0. He was their best player that day. i'd never heard of him before.

Barca seem keen to keep him so unless they were to loan him out I can't see him leaving.

It's very difficult to predict these things but I think MT will be a good manager. He shares, so it would seem, the same values and attitude as Michael Duff. I also think (and hope) MD will be a good manager. And, who knows, perhaps at Burnley one day.

There's bound to be a catch, a snag with released players. Sorry if that seems self-evident. It's often simply a question of age, wages becoming too onerous, injuries or a combination of two or all three. But that doesn't mean the players are crap or of no use to anybody.
