How come Butland isn’t in the reckoning these days? Simply because he’s not playing in the prem? Or has his standard of performance dropped?

I know it's a different format, but if this had been a white ball game, they'd have carried on playing through the mizzle, it seems to be in a test match there's no hunger to keep the game moving, and if test cricket isn't careful it'll cause it's own demise, you do wonder what the point of the flo...

Agree with the above on Rice. He looks average at best. Certainly wouldn’t get in the Burnley team.

Although the standard of analysis is usually pretty low I always assumed that the point of having a professional commentator with an ex pro was so that the ex pro could provide an insight from their own experience. Surely you can’t do this if you’ve never played at this level?

Think that there are some clubs with pros. Five I think. They will be in a group together. If any team ends up playing a club with a pro in the semis or the final then they will be able to bring in a pro.

Why can't they do both? 20 / 20 is generally played in the evening isn't it? Start in a fortnight and include a couple of double-headers on a weekend and 11 games would take you to Sept 12th. I actually quite enjoyed the coverage. Picture was spot on. I even quite liked Jon Champion and Ally McCoist. It felt a bit like I was watching France 98 on ITV. Just needed to cut back to Robbie Earle and Barry Venison in the studio.
