Re: Brighton v Burnley - Player Ratings

Pope - 7 - kicking could improve a bit Lowton - 6 Tarkowski - 7 Mee - 7 Pieters - 6 Lennon - 6 Cork - 5 - needs to be stronger, too easily shoved off it Westwood - 6 McNeil - 7 Barnes - 5 Wood - 5 ________________ Hendrick - 8 - crisp Rodriguez - 6 - might be due a start against Norwich in place of ...

Re: Everton v Burnley - Player Ratings

Watched on tv in the pub so I won’t post ratings. Understandably low scores for a few players but I find some accompanying comments frustrating. “Pretty poor as we stagger towards a very disappointing season end” Really? What were you expecting from the last two games? “championship players at best ...

Re: Burnley v Cardiff - Player Ratings

Heaton 7 - Nowt to do really Lowton 7 - Fine. Solid alternative to big Phil. Tarkowski 7 - People talking about the 1st half. Did he have anything to do? We battered them. Mee 8 - His usual solid self. Either hand ball would have been very harsh. Taylor 8 - Stunning 2nd half to the season continued....

Re: Liverpool v Burnley - Player Ratings

Heaton 4 - Not sure how he missed the first one. Poor kick for the 3rd, although a Sunday league manager would tell his defence to stay goal side Bardsley 7 - you know he has limitations but he's always going to give absolutely everything evidenced by his block towards the end, great to see Tarks 6 ...

Re: Newcastle v Burnley - Player Ratings

This was a frustrating one but has been met with complete overreactions all around. We went behind to a once in a lifetime goal from a centre back, and once behind against these lot we’re always going to struggle - worth pointing out I thought they were excellent at what they did. We couldn’t get go...

Re: Brighton v Burnley - Player Ratings

Heaton 10 - world class Bardsley 8 - love his attitude Tarkowski 9 - came out on top with Murray thks time, and so solid again Mee 9 - see above Taylor 8 - doing well now Hendrick 7 - continued his good form but what tf was he doing for that pen incident (-1) Cork 7 - good but gave the ball away in ...

Re: Watford v Burnley - Player Ratings

Heaton 8 - What a guy Bardsley 7 - Enjoying his performances atm Tarks 8 - Untroubled by big Deeney, very solid Mee 8 - See above, back to his old self Taylor 7 - Good again Hendrick 7 - Some really good moments. Feel he lacks a bit of oomph occasionally Westwood 8 - So tidy again Cork 7 - Very hone...

Re: Crystal Palace v Burnley - Player Ratings

Hart 6 - Fine but it was more their missing than his heroics Defour 5 - actually tried to get us forward and do something before he was inexplicably hauled off The rest 3 I’m rarely so negative but that was atrociously, abysmally bad. What are we? What are we setting out to do in a game? Is there an...

Re: Burnley v Newcastle - Player Ratings

Hart 6 - Nothing to do Lowton 5 - Frustrating crossing Long 7 - Did well Mee 7 - Ditto. Won’t take one off for OG Taylor 6 - Got forward more 2nd half. Crossing needs to pose more problems Lennon 5 - Good at getting back, but I want to see a winger whose first thought is forward. He can do it, but d...

Re: Man City v Der Spiegel

First paragraph of part 4 talks about their recent match against “Burnley F.C., a rather harmless team from a smallish city in northern England” I’m sure Dyche would be displeased with his team being described as such. Although Der Spiegel have arguably been doing their homework in the last few week...

Re: West Ham v Burnley - Player Ratings

Hart 6 - Could catch more than he does but to lay any blame with him is ridiculous Lowton 5 - Meh Tarkowski 5 - Shocker for the 1st but this doesn’t mean he’s been bad all season contrary to what many seem to be saying. He’s a good lad and hope we keep him. Mee 7 - Good ‘ed Taylor 8 - very good toda...

“It had come close to extinction, through no fault of Teasdale in 1987”

Two throwaway lines really. There is no way the club would have ceased to exist. Though whatever we came close to, it’s because we were desperately badly managed at that time and Teasdale was at the helm.

Re: Manchester City v Burnley - Player Ratings

All 6, but Tarkowski 7 - for what it’s worth. Not sure what anybody expected today. They are the pinnacle of what we have and will come up against at this level and folk start suggesting we didn’t try. Why do you even bother going. The fact some are bypassing the importance of that farcical killer 2...

Re: Dyche in or out

Out .... fantastic manager for us and a great era but he has run out of ideas. Boring negative football for the last 12 months. No plan B. In my opinion looks to have lost the players. “the last 12 months”  Some folk on here, wow. I didn’t enjoy the second half yesterday but get a grip o...

Re: Bournemouth v Burnley - Player Ratings

Pope 8 - Very confident in him. The guy doesn’t seem fazed by anything. Bardsley 8 - Solid and looked to be showing real experience towards the end when there were one or two signs of panic. Tarkowski 9 - Balls into the box are no cause for concern as he just wins every one. Mee 9 - As above. Blocks...

The Burger King bit of the renovation may fall behind unfortunately as the franchise behind it is in administration. Not sure whether they'll keep developing it or not to be honest.

Heaton 7 Lowton 7 Keane 8 Mee 10 - <3 Ward 7 Boyd 7 - Plus 1 for nice goal. Hopefully gives him a required boost Hendrick 7 Barton 5 - Sloppy. I'd give Westwood a game. Defour 6 - Wasted out left. Vokes 6 - Tough for him against those creatures Gray 6 - Stage one: control the ball. Build from there ...

Heaton 8 - Solid Lowton 6 - Pretty sure if I worked on my crossing for a week I'd become quite good. Why can't he. Keane 8 - Excellent bar one hiccup Mee 9 - So dependable Ward 6 Boyd 4 - Sorry, I don't get it. Hendrick would do better out wide with Westwood in the middle. Barton 6 Hendrick 6 Arfiel...

Heaton 6 Lowton 7 - Great cross, still too many wayward ones Keane 10 - Why not. Didn't put one foot wrong. Mee 8 - Seven or eight every week Ward 8 - Solide Boyd 7 - Better Barton 6 - Took him a while to get into it today Hendrick 7 - I like him Arfield 7 - Always a bit more of a threat than Boyd f...

So Robinson being poor (ok he did look a bit low on confidence) is the explanation behind us not stringing three passes together? Not sure I get that

Robinson 6 - Not sure why people are moaning so much about him Lowton 6 - Not bad Keane 7 - He's class Mee 8 - Loves a last ditch clearance Ward 6 - Harshly booked and limited thereafter Boyd 3 - I'm sorry, you can't possibly defend that. He gave it away just about every time he got it, has been doi...
