I guess the main question is was the city player gaining an advantage by being offside in the first place? I think he was, so the rules need to change imo

Absolute joke. Once again highlights that even with VAR in place, we are at the whim of one person's (stupid) opinion.
Where's the common sense gone out of football?
What are we gaining from all this? Not much compared to what we are losing in terms of spontaneity.

Re: Purchase a striker in January?
I'm one of Wood's biggest fans. He is a proven scorer at this level. But even I am running out of patience with him at the moment. Plus he doesn't look as fit as last season, don't know if it's just me but he doesn't seem as lean. Not sure the injury he picked up recently is a factor. He is desperat...

Re: Transfer value of each burnley player
Those values have always been out. Plus the value of a player is what someone is willing to pay for him. We value Tarks at 50 million but no one has matched that offer as yet. Plus some players values can vary wildly, look at Traore at Wolves. They were talking 80 million last year, and this season ...

Absolutely hate this rule for the reasons mentioned above. Plus it works slightly better at the moment as there are no crowds. It's just yet another means to dilute the match experience.

I've been an advocate for us signing Snodgrass for a while as I think he would have fitted perfectly into our system. However, as others have mentioned, he is perhaps too old now. it feels like the ship has sailed. If there are no other options and he is fit, then I'd take as a short term solution h...

We all know about Sean's style of play. But we also know that if certain players are fit, he can work miracles with relatively limited players. It will be fascinating to see how this all plays out. The alternative was Sean leaving and us putting up the white flag and ending up mid table in the Champ...

This was always going to happen with the advent of VAR. Any contact where the defender doesn't get the ball seems to now end up in a penalty. Remember Tarks in the England Italy game? Thus dive merchants like Grealish, Salah and Sterling will prosper by dangling the old leg. And the worst this is th...

Also there is the possibility of shipping Vyds out and bringing in another striker What's he done to upset you? Perfectly adequate cover IMHO. He's done nothing to upset me at all? There was a recent article saying he was unhappy with lack of play time, so might be asking for a move in January.

Tbh we only really need a few signings in the short term
New centre half (with a view of replacing Tarks)
Wide player (preferably right sided)
Progressive centre mid would be a nice to have.

Slightly unfair stats about Hendrick. Here's why: In SD's setup, Hendrick played most of his games out of position, either as a 10 or a RM. Especially in the RM role, his main job was to block the passing lanes and be ultra disciplined out of possession. This explains the low number of tackles, but ...

I have speculated on the MMT that the longer the pandemic enforces the closed door games, the stronger our relative position will be if we stay in the Premier League, particularly if it continues into the 2021/22 season (even more broadcast rebates and depressed TV market for the next cycle) - that...

Unfortunately, it is another business where the more money you have, the richer you get. Anyone seen enough of Wilson to think he would be a good signing for us? Always seems like a set piece merchant who drifts in and out of games to me. Not overly fussed if we miss out on him.
