When everyone is fit pick a midfield four from, Drinkwater, Westwood, Cork, Defour, Hendrick, Lennon, McNeil, JBG, Brady or go 4 3 3 and select a front 3 from Wood, Barnes JayRod, Lennon, JBG and Brady. With Tarks, Mee, Gibson and Long, to spend £75k on a fourth CB with perhaps at best two years left in his legs, would be criminal for our football club. Raheem has tipped me over the edge, he needs a whistle so he can take over from the Ref when the ref clearly gets it wrong. Failing that he will of course never get a yellow card for time wasting, blocking a free kick from being taken or indeed committing a challenge that results in a counter attack...

I too went to all 3 games and we sang "Want more Fog, we want more fog" at the 2nd game as the other goal slowly became invisible. The 3 games cost me a small fortune at the time but looking back now and honestly being able to say I was there is high up on the fantastic memories scale.

They are conflicting arguments, I don't play computer games (too old), I just wonder in amazement at how far we have come in the last 12 years when the list of players not getting a game are practically all internationals. It begs the question of what next for us and with what squad?

Bench plus?

The players on the bench yesterday plus injuries gives a clue to how good or bad the squad is. Hart, Pope, Bardsley, Long, Gibson, Ward, JBG, Brady, Lennon, Defour, Vydra and Crouch.

Looking at this list really does highlight recruitment priorities. However it is not too shoddy a back up.

The trick to walking and not being blown up for running is to put your heel down first of your leading foot, it is how refs can determine a run against a walk, try running with your front foot hitting the ground heel first you would look like Crouch on Ice! I play twice a week and would highly recommend it. Running is cheating and it is supposed to be a non/minimal contact sport, depending upon which rules your venue plays to FA or WFA.
