Re: ACL Injury

I did mine skiing in Colorado 5 years ago (second day of a 2 week trip ☹️) and as I had private health care through work I was able to see a specialist who specialised in getting footballers back playing, I was quite impressed by the photos in his office. He was a skier himself and as I was 60 he ad...

Re: Major Road closure

This is about par for the course these days, no joined up thinking anymore or consideration for the way this will affect everyone living or running a company on this side of town. I have a distribution company on Rossendale Road Industrial Estate and this is going to cause us huge levels of disrupti...

Re: Winning the Lottery

I won £609.00 the other week for 4 numbers as it was a roll down week but as I hadn't put my glasses on I told my wife we had won £285000 which was the total prize fund for 4 numbers.

I was in the dog house shortly afterwards

Zios Barroford

Apparently they have closed, does anyone know what happened ?
We had been fairly regular visitors for many years and always enjoyed the place.

Re: The Good Old Days Playing Football

Not football I know but when I was young and foolish I used to fill in for our local rugby team if they were short some weeks as my mate used to play for them. The club had just started so they hired a field off a local farmer who kept cows on it during the week, suffice to say being at the bottom o...

Re: The Good Old Days Playing Football

Dogger up the leg of your shorts when making a sliding tackle, that still makes me shudder just remembering it.

Having rip raps thrown through the dressing room window when just out of the shower.

Marsden Cross

Does anyone know what is happening to it. There is obviously a phone mast going up beside it and there looks to be building work behind it but the main building is covered with scaffolding. I had thought that it might make a good restaurant but watching fall into decline over the years since it clos...

Lancashire Telegraph

Did their used to be a Blackburn edition and a Burnley edition as the sport and editorial used to be focused on this side of East Lancashire with a small section for our friends down the road. Nowadays all of the sport is Rovers based, do I really want the 16 page Rovers promotion push special in to...

Re: McDonnell's Lies

And there UTB lies the rub Most younger people are idealistic, I was myself, it is usually experience gained as you get older that allows a more balanced and reflective view of society. There is also another factor in play as well now, social media which can have a band waggon effect and whilst yes ...

Re: General Election 2017 Mega Thread

There is a lot of childish mud slinging on this site which really doesn't do justice to what is likely to be one of the biggest decisions this country makes for many years, in fact in many ways bigger than the Brexit vote. Whilst agreeing that Theresa May has had a pretty awful campaign her biggest ...

Re: "Enough is Enough" tough talking.

Not sure how Corbyn could cut the funding to terrorism, but if he tries to implement even a fraction of his promises (manifesto or otherwise) there will be cuts to funding for a lot of other services within a very short time although I suppose he could always go and pick some more from his magic mon...

If you believe what you just posted you really need to check his links to the Middle East, it will make uncomfortable reading especially if you actually check what happened at Munich.
As I said politically dodgy but the rest, check it out and perhaps you might have a different opinion.

Re: "Enough is Enough" tough talking.

Breath taking hypocrisy from Corbyn.
A Hamas and Hezbollah supporter, just research what his "friends" did at Munich which was so bad it wasn't released until 1990.
His politics leave a lot to be desired but talk about a leapord changing spots, breath taking.

Updating a will

Hoping not to need it for a bit (although there have been a few pretty stressful games this season) but I do need to update Mrs Claretski and my wills.
We used a will writing service last time but would prefer a local solicitor this time and wondered if anyone had any recommendations.
Thanks
