Re: Kompany to Brighton?

If VK left us for whatever reason (not that I think he will) the first manager on my shortlist would probably be Mark Robins.

Done an unbelievable job with Coventry on the budget he's had - can spot/develop talent as well.

The Keirby and a lot of the brutalist buildings around the town need pulling down, they are truly rancid.

Really cheapens the look of the town which does have some lovely Victorian & Edwardian buildings dotted about.

Re: Sheffield United v Burnley - Player Ratings

Muric still hit some absolute pearlers in the first half out to the wings, first time with pin point accuracy.

It's things like that are the difference. Just allows us to play much further up the pitch.

Re: Kompany to Brighton?

Not so sure that's the setup that VK wants to be in, I can't see Bloom/Brighton affording him the same level of involvement/responsibility/influence that he does here at Burnley, although it's definitely the calibre of club VK would probably be interested in. I think this could all be hot air though...

When U13’s kids are being asked to play on full sized pitches/goals every week across the country I think possibility that the facilities for adult women could be created nationwide is very slim. Why is it not an obstacle? I would have thought that having to erect the goalposts before every game would be a definite obstacle. The finance involved in developing hundreds or perhaps thousands of smaller pitches with smaller goals makes it a non-starter. They will have to continue sharing. I don't think this is much of an obstacle at all, just think it'd really improve the spectacle and make it more football focused, less a...

Brownhill is so much better in that attacking mid / '10' role and is, imo, still our best option there.

So much more tactical awareness and work rate for helping our press and get on to second balls; he should've been playing there from the first game.
