Re: what is YOUR favourite era watching the Clarets ?
Dyche from 2013-19 was beyond my wildest dreams when I first started going on in the mid-late 90s. I genuinely never thought we'd ever get promoted - then when we did with Coyle I thought that would be a flash in the pan... Some of them famous victories under Dyche and that 7th place finish was just...

With how many? Exactly…. Arguing that someone isn’t that bad because he’s joint top scorer means nowt when the totals are so spectacularly low. I’d hoped for so much from this lad, but it may just be that our style doesn’t suit him. I don’t think he’s a bad player, just not what we need. An 'even b...

Re: Season tickets next season
People moaning about us being unable to compete in the Premier league then moaning about a ticket price increase by the 19th (out of 20) least expensive STs in the PL need to take a look at themselves. I know most people aren't in both camps but a number are. I know times are tough financially for ...

It does make you wonder which "new" fans they're trying to attract. Surely there's only so many corporate folk? The priority for owners in the PL are for corporate (necessary evil if you will) and then one off day tripping fans that will come for a match and spend a few quid in the match store. Thi...

Depends on if Popey gets fit in time and does well in a run of games. I think Ramsdale is massively overrated as well. Goalkeepers - Pickford, Pope*, Butland Defenders - Walker, Shaw, Stones, Maguire, Guehi**, TAA, Colwill, Mitchell Midfielders - Rice, Mainoo, Bellingham, Maddison, Barkley, Foden At...

American owners...... There are no reduced prices for pensioners at all in American sports. As a result, you don't see many over-65's at games in the USA. The only time I have seen anything close to a reduced rate is for armed forces veterans. So ALK would find this a strange practice. Love how the...

If you are correct, and like very often with stats, I don’t feel you are, there would be other crap outliers at the top of this table. But there aren’t. Just very good, very expensive players. So if you bing all your shots straight at a keeper it'd be 100% accuracy.
With such a small discrepancy in these I wouldn't read into it in anywhere near the way you are doing, and it's the wrong way to use statistics.

The main football analytical advsiors such as DribLab tend to disagree. Also, when we look at the table, it makes sense when we see who is top. Final comment on this -
If JT just so happened to play for another club and had performed similarly then no doubt some of the posters on here would rightly be questioning Southgate for the call-up.

Two crucial points: 1. Fantastic for James, warm congratulations, reflects well on Burnley, and shows how well regarded he is, including by me, even if I would have chosen Muric this season. So if he's not being picked on merit. what is he being picked on? Probably scarcity in the position and some familiarity with prior involvement in the England U21 setup. Certainly not merit. I liked Jeff Hendrick but in the season we came 7th we went just shy of 3 months without a win, barely scoring a goal, with him playing off the striker. It was grim. The run of 5 wins on the bounce that saved the season started with Wood's return from injury with Wood coming off the bench for Hendr...

Doesn't Crouch have the most headed goals in the Premier League?
