So sorry to read this.
Rest in peace Taffy.
He was before my time, although I might have seen him in a game I was too young to remember the players.
All the generation before me loved him and was the player they all talked about.

It's great for those people too because it means they aren't sat behind people who want to stand.
I think he means the extra safety bar above the seat could be at the height of the child's eyeline?

if you can believe the ticket office, they told me about 14000 were sold when i went in on the Brighton game They told someone last week it was 12k sold, but that was including everyone who paid by direct debit the year before and hadn't told the club they were cancelling. Most would just cancel th...

I imagine that’ll creep up to maybe 15,000 with annual payers leaving it till the last minute to renew. Good effort if we can get 15,000. Anyone remember what it was last season in the Championship? I think 15k was about the limit. 3k walk ons needed. 2k for corporate 2.2k for away fans Fag packet ...

How do the play off work in that league?
Same as the football league as in one leg at each ground then a final at a neutral ground?

He really was a special player with both bat and ball
Yes, you forget just how good a bowler he was. But there's footage on YouTube of him bowling to Ponting and Kallis. Two of the best batsman of the era.
And he seemed to be the nemesis of Adam Gilchrist.

I had the good fortune to play against Freddie up Padiham.
He hit it miles using kids bats that he had to change every two weeks.

Really hope we keep him personally, appreciate I am in the minority on here. He's not good enough for this league but is excellent in the Championship and we need a modicum of experience in that team considering most of our other 'Dyche-era' players will be leaving the building this summer. A midfi...

Might as well be in league 2 like Accy Stanley. I’m sure some fans would be happy to be in league two again with 7000 gates. If we want to be in the premier league we need to generate money from other revenue streams. Which the board are trying to do What other revenue streams are they trying? From...

Yep the reason I mention Leicester was because of the amount of exposure they had in Thailand. They literally had a big club shop and merchandise all over Bangkok airport when I was there. It was unbelievable and made me realise who actually owned them. If it's not made much difference to their sta...

I'd be interested to know how much the exposure Leicester get in Thailand has lead to an increase in revenue from the Asian markets. If they've not managed to turn it into anything tangible then it's probably a waste of time us trying. Every team in the Premier league tried breaking Asia. When I we...

His goalkeeping has been superb since he has comeback, but the footwork side has cost us 2 goals. The Everton one was tactical, he takes an extra touch to entice DCL and comes unstuck. The coaching staff want that as it draws the opposition out of position in a domino affect. But in the prem you don...

It’d be interesting to see the outcome stats on PL and Champ clubs signing players playing adult football and then chucking them into their youth teams. Even where these players are playing non-league football, I can’t help thinking they’d have been better staying put or making a smaller step to co...

The u22 category was brought in to keep 18yr olds in the game.
It's an age where they probably have to start paying for their own ticket, despite not much money.
If you keep someone in a ST til 22, there's a good chance they stay on for life.

I would take him in the championship for 8/10m, but it's a heck of a jump to the prem.
He seems to find loads of space up top for Rovers, he wouldn't get that at Burnley as teams will sit back and crowd the area more.

Has the penalty escaped scrutiny because of the score?
Palmer didn’t get touched in the first challenge and Tarks block tackle was perfection in the second. Have I missed something?
It was given for the first shout.

It’s quite worrying. Also how are we going to offload some of the players he has already wasted millions on before he can waste some more? To put it into perspective if we sell 14,000 season tickets next year, the revenue generated will only be half of Zeki Amdouni’s transfer fee. Madness. I don't ...

It's winding me up this passing back to the keeper everytime they get the ball. 94 touches for the keeper is shocking. You would think they would have learnt not to pass back on target after Muric dived full length to keep one out the other week from O shea? Stop being cowards, if the midfield don't...

Seemed a little bit too easy for the players this year.
This stood out as the best tournament for how tough it was, but I'm not sure it gripped me this year.
Maybe the players have played it so much, they can easily avoid the hazards?

Found his introduction bizarre. He's not been deemed to warrant any game time since Luton at home, and no significant game time this year. Benson has had a couple of cameos recently and showed a threat against Wolves. He's also got the sort of whippy, dipping shot that's well suited to slippery, wi...

Muric is a far better keeper and hasn't made a single keeper error. He's made two errors with his feet. I would put Trafford back in goal so our players stop turning into cowards and passing back to the keeper all the time. Before Trafford goy dropped we had stopped passing backwards and he just lau...
