We may be not far away from an NFL style super league based in the US with games between all those rebel European super league clubs involved. You never know.

We had our best season ever at championship level last season and have followed it up with a struggle but (to me at least) a season where we are improving whilst playing a possession based style. I watched us at Everton and preferred to watch a team using possession than one waiting for mistakes fro...

And yet for all the doom we may just basically need to be within 2 points of Forest before the final game. You can still point to refereeing decisions that would have kept us up and we are certainly a better team now than we were in August. Some of the football in the first half against a team that’...

We were nowhere near as bad as people are making out. Spice sums it up pretty well in terms of the mental and physical fatigue of a 3 game week. The game was decided on one mistake when we were clearly the better of the teams. We then can’t reply with ten on the pitch after a second mistake. The mai...

Re: Post match interviews v Everton
We can compare Dyche and Kompany all day but yesterday showed why a lot of Burnley fans wanted the change when Dyche left. You can only play with the ball for a third of the time and rely on opposition errors and set pieces for so long. I have no doubt Dyche will get less time at Everton than he got...

As one of Dyche’s biggest fans I watched the game on a stream yesterday and thought I would rather watch a team play with 63% possession than his team with 37% irrespective of the result. Everton were turgid in the first half and were gifted a goal. We were much better than them until the mistake wh...

Foul for me. However there is no consistency. When there’s a slight touch on the leg they tend to give it as VAR slows the thing down to show a touch. If the touch is on the ball we don’t do that then? They make it up as they go along.

Interesting that none of the three in the team of the week made the Garth Crooks lineup. He’s such a great judge of performance. Coming back twice at Stamford Bridge and deserving to win is not enough for any of our gallant ten to be included. I reckon Stevie Wonder could do a better job than Crooks...

No issue with him letting the game flow and not have yellows. However, this needs to be applied across all matches. You don’t have to go back very far to see the polar opposite being applied. That’s the biggest problem, consistency, of which there is very little.

Quite simply we win the game with a different ref/var. Not the first time this has happened this season. In fact we have lost almost half as many points as our current total in games that would have had different outcomes with better/fairer refs. You can only conclude that incredibly poor referee bi...

City have been in profit since making a loss of circa 130m in the COVID season so they haven’t breached the 105m loss over 3 consecutive seasons threshold since those rules were in force.
Both Chelsea and City have good accountants ensuring that they appear within the limits.

Hard to see how they can’t end up over the 105m loss limit given they lost a combined 125m in the previous 2 seasons. The key questions are can we get 6 more points than Luton and 5 more than Forest. I agree with the op.
