Re: Chesterfield back in the league
I’m sure we had a game called off at Chesterfield some years ago probably around late 80’s or so. I remember getting to saltergate and seeing the spire and driving straight back. Complete waste of time, I think it was around Christmas/New Year too.

Re: Leicester
City have been in profit since making a loss of circa 130m in the COVID season so they haven’t breached the 105m loss over 3 consecutive seasons threshold since those rules were in force.
Both Chelsea and City have good accountants ensuring that they appear within the limits.

Hard to see how they can’t end up over the 105m loss limit given they lost a combined 125m in the previous 2 seasons. They would need to post a 20m profit in accounts for the relegation season when they binned Rodgers. If they comply with the process and don’t whine too much (which they already appe...

Absolutely. Lots of hope. Leicester needed snookers the year before they won the title and won 8 or so out of the last 10 games.

Re: Relegation Run-In
The key questions are can we get 6 more points than Luton and 5 more than Forest. Definitely in our own hands which is what you want and beating Forest would mean actually only 2 points more than them is needed from the other matches. Definitely doable and I think the next 3 are absolutely crucial. ...

The other thing she said was the best thing that Muric did all game was the foul on Toney which would likely have been a penalty if they had not scored in the continued attack. They make someone like Tim Sherwood or Chris Sutton sound half knowledgeable.

I agree with the op. Many fans wanted a change of style at the end of the Dyche era and playing a possession based game in the premier league with an inexperienced and regularly changed team is the reason we haven’t been good enough. We now have a younger squad with the ability to improve. We lost a...

Blaming Vitinho for the goals on Wednesday is a new low for on here. He was up against probably the quickest player in the league who created nothing. I’ve just watched the clip. Why do they insist on watching from all angles in slow motion? This particular decision needed full speed videos from all angles. The slow motion examples make it seem less of a foul (although still looks a foul to me). The game is played at full speed and assessment of t...

Yeah I don't think impugning Atwell's integrity is acceptable, personally. Debate his decision making by all means. As for blaming Burnley players - I criticised Ramsey. If that pen is at the other end it doesn’t get given by Attwell and then VAR go with the onfield decision (no pen). If you support Luton and you clearly want Villa to win the game you give the onfield decision so that VAR have to go with it (pen). Same incident, 2 different outcomes depending on who...

Impeccable performance. There was little or no back chat. Gave decisions to both teams throughout with no obvious bias at all. The most important thing of all is that you never really noticed her and that’s exactly what you want from a ref.

So they considered it and got it wrong if they thought Berge fouled which he clearly didn’t. They make it up as they go along.
