Stuart Webber I think their recruitment, with the exception of Pukki, has been okay. Nothing truly special. And the chances of a new manager getting a club promoted at the first time are asking are very rare in football, especially from the Championship. Was it £35m from Leicester? If DD was going to be any use whatsoever to Lampard's Chelsea, FL would never have sent him out, also bearing in mind that that Chelsea were facing a transfer embargo at the time.
I would be very surprised if DD were to make a positive impact at Villa.

It seems the club can do little right. We appear to have bid for a player who, you'd imagine, could do a job for us. Isn't that something to be happy about?
Problem is I doubt £7million would buy a reasonable championship player.
