I've forgotten what century we're in: dukes? lords? earls?
We really are clinging to the past.
Also love the idea that one overpaid law endorsing monarch can save us from another (elected) one.

Nostalgia's not what it used to be.

I agree with some of this, but isn't it more like this?

Our fall to almost the very bottom wasn't much fun
Our rise back up was.

So it's not pointless then? I'm sorry, but it adds a competitive edge, as there is (in our case) a relegation to avoid. Believe we are - was reported a week or so ago. But given the structure suggested - Dyche would still report directly to the Chairman, it feels very much like a background, administrative role rather than a wider ranging brief. Thanks. Did they do maths at your school Bill? 38 PL games / 4 = 9.5 * 3 = 28.5 11 draws 39.5 points 30 games left so 1 in 4 = 21 points + 8 we currently have = 29. It's not a blinkered view at all. If Dyche was to leave there'd be plenty of understandable concern about whether there would be excellent candidates.
