Re: How can we hold our key players in our squad for next season /

In truth the answer is that if they are genuinely in demand then we can't hold on to them unless they are of a very rare breed, loyal.
What we need is to develop replacements so that we can actually benefit from sales.

You can question his character, but the fact is Gibson hasn't been given the chance to show his worth on the pitch. I don't think it's fair to judge him on the odd cup performance, especially with Dyche's attitude towards the cup competitions. So how else could any club judge him in terms of his wo...

Buendia the much better option. Norwich want £20m for him - so would probably go for 16-18m region I’d imagine, offer Gibson in to the equation and we aren’t too far off that mark, for a really good versatile player.

Go on Garlick show us what you’re made of.
So Buendia, for £25m plus Gibson?

That's very possible. But no agent worth their salt would tell the player to sign before they have to and not wait to see who else comes in. And I'd be ringing every other club saying 'Burnley bid X so you'll need to better that. Yes, that is possibly true. But we are realistically only competing f...

Sounds a bit defeatist to me.
Surely if we have identified targets we may as well stick our bid in.... because any targets we may have will have been notified by their agents of our interest, so they could make the choice to sign or not.
