The R rate in Germany was 2.88 for about 24 hours a couple of weeks ago. The media were falling over themselves to report the impending doom.

Two days later and it was back down at 0.6. Not a mention of that anywhere.

The R rate is a load of nonsense if that’s the only data you’re looking at.

Brentford have a lot of good players but there's a midfielder there, Norgaard, who generally goes unnoticed but does a hell of a lot of good work allowing their forwards to play. Very impressive.

I was so impressed with McNeil in that no 10 role. We played some brilliant football in that first half with him pulling the strings.

I'd like to see that setup used next season (the rest of this season will be more about getting whatever side we can out on the pitch).
