Apparently Robert Snodgrass is unable to feature for West Brom tonight due an agreement that prevented him playing against West Ham this season when he left them, even though he's gone permanently. Quite odd I thought.

Conor Gallagher is a decent enough player to come in for him though.

Yes but compared to Newcastle's forwards ours are bargain basement. Joelinton £40m Wilson £20m (TBF he's done ok when he's played) Dwight Gayle £10m or so And finally Andy Carroll, yes he was a free transfer, but he'll be on big wages. I think most people would agree that the performance at Palace with 5 in midfield was one of, if not the, best ones in recent months.

Whatever the reason for deploying it, it very, very clearly worked and we should be eager to revisit it.

I've been dubious about this takeover all along but willing to give it chance. If it turns out we're in exactly the same position as before, I'd have sooner kept the current board. God knows how this is all going to turn out.

Best case scenario now is he hooks the sh1te up front, brings on the actual footballers, they do the business and then even Dyche can’t justify starting the sh1te again next game.
