Re: what is YOUR favourite era watching the Clarets ?

Enjoyed them all since the early 60s , if you had to pin me down , Jimmy Mullen era , who can forget Derby away or the Stockport.
But as they say in football " you are only as good as your last game "

Re: RIP to a lifelong Claret

I understand he was only 66. I was going to suggest to my sister that she notify the club, so that Andrew's name could be included at the Memoriam game in the new year, but perhaps you woukd like to do that, Stevesball2? That's great idea we were going to contact the club in the next or so .thanks l...

Andrew Helme known to most as the Captain, died peacefully on Monday in hospice Blackpool.
His prostrate cancer had spread and his decline was quick .
Captain has been a lifelong Claret and my great friend .

Disgraceful waste of our money by Burnley & Lancashire council .
Now they have knocked down a supermarket ( co op) and built a cinema on the site . Then move the current cinema and put a supermarket in its place !!

Regeneration of the markets (as it used to be max of 3 types of business) town centre mix of independent and multi shops ( again limit max...

As a club we were in the football wilderness, Jimmy brought us back and made us believe.
I will never forget the Derby game ,my best ever away game ,talking to County fans after the game , they kept saying we did win didn't we ! . Would love him to come back and get the plaudits he deserves.

Heaton just gets it for me , Pope will go on to more caps with England.

Loved Peter Mellor as a kid .
Hansbury is the worst keeper I have ever seen in Burnley shirt ,and I watched Andy Farrell play in goal !!!!.

Some very good players in that youth side CT as you say most ignored once they came out of the youth system. Alex's still loving his football , already buzzing for the season to start. Was due to make his debut 2nd half away to Milton Keynes in the FA cup . Events then took over and the manager at t...
