Re: Burnley v Sheffield United - Player Ratings

Pope 7 - couldn’t do anything about the goal and did alright. Good save first minute. Bardsley 6 - Not bad offers nothing going forwards though. Tarkowski 7 - good goal and good performance. Long 5 - poor on occasions. Taylor 6 - great defensively and made some good runs but lost the ball too often....

Guessing we will see brownhill and Westwood in the middle, Dwight left, JBG/Brady right, Vydra and one of the strikers up top. Teams starting to look good. I like brownhill cm a lot.

He’s better than Hendrick so far. Was immense defensively and going forward he has a good turn of pace and whipped in an excellent ball in the first half. I’m really looking forward to seeing him play centrally.

We could do with a right wing. Eliasson, Osayi Samuel and buendia would all be excellent. After that maybe a free back up centre back like Ayala and then someone like Harrison reed for when cork/Westwood start to miss games. We don’t need to go out and break the bank to improve the squad this summer...

I think we once tried Taylor further forward and it didn't work at all. I don't agree about crossing BTW. This is Taylor's weakness at present. Pieters has actually played wide left before. He’s clearly able to get a good ball in, even if he’s not the most athletic. I don’t think he’s at all a bad option to have. I think we’re overestimating the standard of these teams. Over the past 4 years of us being in the prem, we’ve built a very decent mid table standard side. Teams coming up from the championship should not be better than us without breaking FFP rules.

I don’t see where the £50 million loss to revenue comes from to be honest. The TV repayments are £340M, £17M per club, and the match day income would only make that up to about £20M. The club shouldn’t have to sell, and should really be looking to buy at good prices this summer.
