Re: Stronger than last season

Post Boxing Day we were in the top 6 form table and with Nick Pope in goals we finished 7th. Why this frantic desire on the part of some posters to tear up the first xl and start again!

We all love Tom and if he was happy to fight it out with Pope for the jersey i’m sure he would be staying. After his amazing service I agree it would be impossible to stand in his way. West Brom always struck me as a club who were petty minded enough to refuse a sale to a so called relegation rival....

Re: Is this the time

We’ve made a decision based primarily on age to go with Pope as number 1 and if Tom isn’t prepared to accept this the logic is to sell him and reinvest the transfer fee and wages elsewhere. The same posters who rant and rave about the age of our squad are now up in arms when Dyche chooses youth. Our...

Without the current tv money how the heck could we compete with the likes of leeds, forest ,derby etc never mind most of the other 14. Looks a very decent signing. We let a 33 year old reserve left back go and bring in someone 3 years younger. If he has the same attitude as Phil Bardsley he will fit in fine. Can’t see any reason to criticize the club here. Now if we were looking to start the season with that dynamic duo of Charlie ...
