Head could have been turned with the Leicester speculation but looks like he has just got on with it and started the season superbly.

Some weird comments on here. Defour has not been injured on purpose. He was probably the main factor when we got as high as 4th at Christmas and ended up in the Europa league. That first half of the season he was one of the best players not just for us but in the league. Therefore he was a factor in...

Kicking can certainly be worked on and improved. But it is a minor issue compared to making saves, which Pope does very well. Exactly. Agreed although the alternative is to pro actively find a benefactor. Garlick will not be able to sustain this. The wages figure and level of increase is frightening. I cant believe people defend our transfer policy and dealings over the last few seasons.

We are doing well despite our recruitment not because of it.

Our starting 11 is still the same as it was 12 months ago despite Europe/7th place and an extra 150 million in the bank. Its indefensible.
