Hi. Very recently a proud Claret from Clitheroe, big Dave Hartley passed away. He was a good friend to many in the Clitheroe district and very well known as a passionate supporter of our club, following the team for many many years home and away.On Friday 30th at 1.00pm there is a gathering arranged...

There were a great group of comics from that era. George Roper, Joss White, Colin Crompton and who could forget Ken Goodwin. Daft as a brush but extremely funny. Bernard M a favourite too but his style just wouldn't be accepted today.

In the past, I've pretty much liked him but I've seen a nasty side to him on occasions too. I thought tonight was one of those. For me Vydra and Jay both need to start next game. Vydra has more pace and guile than Wood. He did more in his late introduction tonight than Wood did all night. I don't want to knock Wood and Barnes but they both appear to be out of form at present.

Yes, very good point could easily have lost that but didn't play too badly. Dogged defence with one or two chances for us. We would have taken 4 points from 2 very hard away games this last few days before kick off so a good return overall.

I know the game has moved on but our neighbor's down the M65 won the league in 95 playing 4 4 2. 2 strong forwards, 2 hard tackling midfielders and 2 wide men given every licence to get forward as much as possible and deliver the ball into the box, not defend and turn backwards and sideways.
