Re: UK Steel industry

There are certain industries in any country that must be considered strategically necessary. The steel industry is one of those. The UK needs to retain it's ability to make the high end products and some capacity to produce the lower end products. Since the 1990's the Chinese steel industry has gone...

Pope is the future. Would love to keep Tom but from a purely financial point we have to cash in on him now. He will only devalue sitting on the bench.

VAR is the most retrograde step that the game can take.

Slows the game down terribly.
VAR looks for things to award.
Still gets things wrong

Wouldn't take long for SD to have our pace winger becoming an inverted winger lost in traffic. Last few games DM was heading infield rather than down the wing.

Always been a Dyche fan but not blind to the fact that for the first half of the season he was struggling to find the best system and the best personnel to fit into it. Thank God he finally figured it out.

If our sole aim is to survive each season, you can be sure that very soon we won't.

We need to build slowly and progress year after year. As a minimum we should be targeting the top ten.

Re: What I Really Liked About Dwight Today...

Not knocking McNeill who is a truely incredible prospect but he has been fortunate to have had Taylor behind him. Taylor has coped manfully with the lesser cover in front of him. This has allowed McNeill a far freer role. If Taylor wasn't so solid, McNeill would be sitting deeper and not in a positi...

Obviously most of you haven't paid any attention to how BFC do business. We won't be bringing in half a dozen new players. If we are lucky we will get three or four. This means that we need to retain many on your wish lists above as back up. Lowton, Lennon, Long, JGB, Vydra and Brady won't be going ...

Re: How much do we have to spend to bring more clubs into our future survival aims ?

Its not what you spend, its how you spend it. We just need a couple of players that are going to lift the level of the starting eleven and buy into our ethics. We don't need players just to fill squad numbers. Just as important is removing the deadwood that are sucking up millions in wages (Collecti...

Re: England v Australia ... Rugby

Australia have been playing poorly for the passed couple of years now. They have three things going for them though: The support that they have been giving Cheika, the consistency that brings and the morale within the group. I am afraid it will turn around soon. The Aussies love playing at Twickers ...

Re: O/T - China (Travel)

The first thing to do is decide how you are going to get around the country. Are you going to fly or go by train. If you decide to go by train (my preference) you have to book your travel in advance. You can't just rock up at the station and expect to get on the train. I used to get the night trains...
