But playing our strongest side risks injuries which has a negative impact on our Premier League campaign. There's a lot more money to be made by staying in the Prem, therefore it's a pretty straightforward decision - rest them for the cup. Had we played our strongest side and lost first team player...

It’ll hinder him ever getting a bigger job.

The clubs you’d expect to be looking at him would want to do well in cup competitions. He was even touted as a possible England manager not so long ago.
