I’m not sure the “doesn’t run the miles” bit is correct for Cork.
Sorry BC I wasn't dismissing his work ethic, which is very strong, but he's not having to react to being out of position as often as others.

Nice camera + lens combo, that 300mm is seriously heavy !!!!!!!!!
Ah it's not too bad 2.4 kg - but It was hand held for about 5 hours and took it's toll eventually. Adding the extender changes the whole feel of it, and I think it changes the fulcrum, so it feels a lot heavier to hold.

Agree fully with you. He doesn’t run the miles, because he reads the game. Knits play, and creates a higher platform to play from. I think his impact is regularly under appreciated.

Penalty was good movement, but pretty rotten defending (not for the first time all day). If we’re counting back post headers back across goal as significant contributions, that’s fine as long as it’s applied to all such headers.

Good movement, good touch, reasonable pace, very little end product. It’s not a one off, it’s just consistently how he has looked when he has played at this level, for any club.

Big pressure on Sri Lanka really. ~Going into day 4, and first innings still not concluded. Pitch hasn't yet turned into a minefield. They have to score runs, to get a big enough lead to put England under pressure. Could bring plenty of mistakes.

I'm actually a little bit shocked that some people are rating based on the quality of the opposition or the potential of our players. It doesn't work that way, a player who is known to be bad can have a very good game against good opposition, likewise a world class player can have a poor game again...

Player ratings should be based on performance. A striker that cost £5m is more than likely going to get 4/10 week in week out if they are playing in the Premier League because that price tag gets you a certain skill set (probably League 1 quality now). They may have the odd game which they play out...
