Re: Harrogate to play at Doncaster

It’s 2020. The EFL is in disarray and clubs are fearful for their survival. A bright, well run club comes up, with a 3G pitch that helps them connect with the community and stay financially viable.

EFL- “Can you rip your 3G up and spend £300k on a grass pitch?”

Unless Dyche has some of the youth team players in mind, I think we probably need a right back, centre half and a winger.

Nothing major and probably only the right back needs to be good enough to immediately pushing for a starting place.

All of the above assumes no key departures.

Bournemouth need at least more 6 point I think. Villa at least 7.

Neither have shown the kind of form required for that all season and to make matters worse for them, they still have some tough games. Bournemouth are at Man City next and then play in-form Southampton in a derby.

The approach to cricket is difficult to fathom. In a similar vein, schools will resume with no social distancing in two months time, but junior football almost certainly won’t. You can be shoulder to shoulder with children in your age group indoors 5 full days a week, but not outdoors for a few hours?

If we go down the unimaginative route of appointing “names” like Allardyce for the short-term, they’ll make short-term decisions and in my opinion it’ll only hasten our demise.

Even if it’s the former, it’s not different to any other job. How much work do you get out of the employee who’s contract you aren’t renewing in their last week? What meaningful options do you have if they decide they can’t be arsed?
