Re: Weds Games
It’s an odd outlook on football to watch two mega-wealthy, modern-day giants clash and somehow come out criticising the team who attempted to attack and play football, whilst lauding a team that put in the kind of performance that had me yearning for the return of the away goal rule.

Shame about West. When you pay a fee for a youth player you expect it to work out a bit more. It’d be interesting to see the outcome stats on PL and Champ clubs signing players playing adult football and then chucking them into their youth teams. Even where these players are playing non-league foot...

Maybe, maybe not. Some of our players do noticeably look tired towards the end of games. Without wishing to draw comparison to Dyche’s sides I felt we used to be the opposite and would often not even make a single substitute. Perhaps we play a higher intensity game, also we have younger players who...

No impact, which I think is the point. No. I think Milltown’s original point appears to be that VK brought them back too early. Otherwise I don’t see the relevance to a fitness thread. I’m not sure I can see a team lacking fitness being in so many close games at this point of the season. It was certainly off AFTER the mistake. I watched him for quite a while afterwards and it was clear he’d been affected by it. Muric is a better goalkeeper for us than Trafford is right now. I suspect that might change as Trafford matures and gains experience.
No doubt Muric was poor today though. It wasn’t just the goal. His distribution was off.

Sounds to have been a hugely disappointing performance yesterday, but I always think you should search for mitigations, and I do think there's one yesterday that has been under-explored. Do you want people to have a massive pile on Muric? He contributes so much more in a positive way than Trafford, that’s probably why there aren’t any threads on him. We had one shot on target.
