I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the loan “obligations” have been misreported. JBL was reported to be a cast iron obligation, but Kompany suggested it that it wasn’t a few weeks ago. I’d also be surprised if we are genuinely on the hook to pay £15m+ for Tresor. If we were, I’d have thought we’d ha...

It’s a penalty, but will be filed under the PGMOL twilight zone that is “VAR wouldn’t have overturned it if given or not given”.

There’s a lot of backslapping when it comes to the atmosphere generated by the CFS. Maybe the acoustics of the ground mean the noise doesn’t carry very well to the JHU, but I rarely clock much in the way of a racket in there.

Re: Why we are going down
The performance today was similar to some of those early capitulations which Trafford was often singled out in without making any direct errors that led to goals. I think we’re better with Muric, but suspect his impact has been slightly overblown. Even in the better run of results, we’ve still conce...

Re: Luton v Everton
Not a terrible result for us. Everton were awful but defended resolutely, fortunately. I still fancy Luton to stay up with their games. Unlikely. Forest will beat Sheff Utd tomorrow you’d expect, which will put them 3 points clear and with a superior goal difference. Luton would then probably need ...

Like we are, you mean? Yes. And Luton. And Forest. We’ve got an uphill task as things stand, but it becomes virtually impossible if Forest get their points back. The point is that kind of IF shouldn’t exist at this point. We should be able to say “x points from the last 3 games is likely to keep us...

Whether you have sympathy for Forest or not, no club should be in a situation where it has no real feel for how many points might be required to stay up with 3 games to go.

I think we probably need to pick up 4 points before we play Forest to have any real chance and that’s assuming they don’t get some of their deducted points back this week. The upturn in form has been encouraging, but we may have left it a bit late and could have done with turning one of the recent d...

There was a lot of talk a few months ago about Burnley being one of the worst sides in PL history. For Sheffield United it’s a genuine likelihood. Barring a miracle they look like they’ll surpass Swindon’s record for the most goals conceded in the PL era and possibly have one of the worst points tot...

Been terrible today, but he’s a perfect striker for a lower half PL club.
Not far off 70 PL goals and almost 1 in 3. He’s also been in double figures in 5 seasons.
If we had someone in double figures this season, we may well be out of the bottom 3.

Bit of a stretch to suggest a) the VAR official was biased and b) he was biased against Forest in a game vs Everton. Only 1 point between them as the game kicked off. Both eminently catchable by Luton, particularly as Luton still have Everton to play.

Esteve’s a budding leader too. Whilst his teammates were celebrating the third goal he was going round them all telling them to focus (or something similar). Seen him do it quite a bit.
Nice to see. We don’t appear to have too many of those vocal leaders in the side.

He's a pretty ginormous one, even with the cock ups. The team is much more spread out in possession and we can stretch the pitch and pass out (minus the odd cockup) to much greater effect.
