You could argue, using that logic, that modern day Molineux is a different ground to the one they had pre-1978. All four stands have been demolished and the pitch moved by 30 yards.
Nothing like the same. Molineux is the same ground on the same footprint.

Dean Court? I know they bulldozed the old ground and rotated the pitch 90 degrees but surely it's the same place. It's not the same place at all. The old ground was flattened, they went off to play somewhere else for a while and the new ground is only partly on the old footprint. If you consider th...

Brentford’s move next season to a new stadium got me thinking. How many of the current Premier League and Football League club’s grounds have I had to untick over the years. I’ve got to 17. Surprised at that. Given you could either fill up with whatever spirit you wanted. Or simply keep the lid on and throw it.
You can take them in at most grounds. Strangely at Burnley you can only take in clear liquids so vodka is ok while Coca Cola isn’t.

You aren’t meant to here. But it’s a little more lax when checking. Both on entry to stadium and again to seat. Hence bottles being thrown a regular thing in the away end. Newcastle and Hannover two obvious examples. At a modern stadium, at a more high profile venue and city it’s a good job they do...
