With respect to O'Neill, he doesn't appear to have set the Aussie League alight. Looked a good prospect. Hard to say but surely can't be near PL standard? Hope I'm wrong and he turns into a top player

Re: Andre Gray
A Deeney Gibson exchange would be good but leaves us lacking in CB cover.
I like Deeney, seems to have overcome previous life issues. He will be a Barnes on steroids and growth hormones.
Unlikely but would be a good signing and would be great in a Dyche side.

Well done Mitch George. I grew up with his dad in the 80s and 90s. Typical armchair Liverpool fan until the Walker cash came in then was one of the wannabe Blackburn "hard" lads. Funny his kid ended up at Burnley. Dad's name? Georgey of course.

A player that every fan of that era would have loved. Couldn't imagine anyone having any vitriol for him. Decent enough for a few years. However, that 91/92 season, probably needed better. Tried several times, with Marriott and Walker especially standing out. Main thing is that Pearce came in post O...

A few proper Clarets in my year. Me, Ric C, Benny Holden to name a few. Remember that away trip to Exeter and an overnighter in Torquay when 17 with Ric C. Ah, the naivety of youth
Plus the top man and teacher that is Peter Doc Halstead now has a season ticket in front of us.

My first full season aged 9. Been to a couple of games before, first being 1984 and NYD 1986 but started going with old man and uncle. I was an armchair Everton fan at the time and the footy on offer was dreadful but that Orient game changed me. When on the pitch at the end I knew that this was now ...

It is also a sad indictment of football when you see kids getting picked up at U8 level and potentially being rejected at that age. Footy should be fun for kids first and foremost and playing with mates at proper local grassroots clubs with scouting at a later age. So many pushy parents out there an...

My family came down from Dundee in the 60s and I have been up there a few times, the last time in January. I find it a pleasant, small city. Went out for midweek drinks and it was vibrant with decent folk about, not like most of the alkies and smackrats you see in Burnley town centre pubs on a weekd...

Best pizza shop in Burnley. Deep pan pie style rather than the usual Italian thin crust. Always busy at weekends and had a loyal customer base despite a rise in less than mediocre takeaways popping up in that area over the years. RIP.

Remember seeing their farewell gig at the Mechanics around 96. Top gig but they returned. Saw them play behind the CFS when we played Leicester a few years back. Some catchy tunes.

I was there at that Sheffield match also. We had four pints before the game. Police at turnstile asked to see our tickets and ripped them up saying we were drunk. Guy has had to wait until getting back to the Czech camp before letting his frustration unfold via the press. Says a lot about the media control at Burnley. Despite translation differences, a good honest interview which, given the current difficulties, does not shine a positive light in his situation.

If he's that good, he will perform week in, week out with the odd blip. No point getting carried away with the lad. He's young, raw, has excited but could easily drop down the leagues yet. Tiredness should not be a factor at his age. Guile and game plan, yes.

I like Lennon but he looked completely lost today, almost like a kid playing a man's game. Was far too central and was exposed for it. Needs to hug the touchline. But, that said, the whole team set up and display didn't help matters.
