It's like something has gone awry on friends and family. My missus has been elevated to 65+, she's not at all happy.
Her ticket will be cheaper though

You literally broke down the figures to try to demonstrate it was a minimal increase in terms of price per game. Totally ignoring the fact that some people will have to find an extra 100 pounds plus across the year to pay for it. For some that is significant- it's tone deaf to think otherwise. The ...

It makes me sad that you and NewClaret can't read a room. Some people are fortunate enough that an increase won't affect them. Unfortunately the reality is that some people will be affected by a rise that (in some cases), is significant- see the extra percentage increases. You can break it down eve...

Really useful post. I don’t like rises of any nature but that does put in to perspective that £3, £5.43 and £13.66 for U12’s to O65’s still represents outstanding value for money in my view.
Even if we stay up and over 19 games there isn’t much more difference at £3.63 £6.58 £16.53

Just done some quick calcs on last year and this year prices for our group in the JMU Adult 5% increase O65, u12 & u18 25% increase On the assumption we are down and have 23 games next season, there isn’t much change in cost per game Adult £19.87 to £22.89 O65 £13.16 to £13.66 U12 £2.89 to £3.00 U18...

So for those of us that don’t seem to get “selective” emails from the club, can somebody post the details please?
What are the DD arrangements?
Does the ST auto renew as that was what was said would happen

Genuinely interested. What's the issue with Vine? I don't know much about him, but on the occasions that I listen to his radio programme I don't find him to be particularly offensive or controversial. He always comes across to me as a well-spoken, fairly bland, non-controversial sort of guy. Am I m...

That’s very very true . Many sports like athletics , tennis , swimming , cycling ,the disadvantage is simply muscle mass /power ratio etc . But with football there’s a plethora of balance / strength disadvantages for the women . The issue being , that instead of accepting and owning it, the media e...

No one can argue with JB that women’s football is very poor compared to the men’s game and especially the keepers . Though I think he’s flogging it a bit now and it’s become a grift . It’s a shame, he could have been a good manager or at least a mildly controversial successful pundit in the game Bu...

Genuinely interesting thread. Surely the future is more artificial turf given changing climate. At junior football level in Leeds it’s shocking, mudbaths like the 1970s. Same in a lot of places unfortunately. My team haven’t played a game for 3 weeks now (and will be a fourth after next week as no ...

I spoke to the club yesterday and, apparently, there will be an email at the start of next week with all the renewal details. Additionally, there will be NO direct debit payment for April, which will mean people needing to pay in 11 instalments at most, meaning at least an 8.3% increase in the mont...

Umbro could/can be good (think that 79/80 shirt) The training gear and GK shirt selections being stock for multiple clubs is a bit lame though isn't it? You'd think for a PL outfit all that stuff would be unique. Shirts are obviously a main seller every year but I still think the club could do more...

It is and was correctly punished. But, for me it’s just a non sensical rule. Those who made it haven’t been in that moment, with those emotions. The defending for Lewis-Potter’s chance just before their goal and then on the cross for their actual goal was dreadful from him. In fact, had that been Amdouni people would be going bonkers about it. Yes it was his own mistake that he had to fix, but he showed the ******** to chase back and fix it...

So was the images eventually coming onto the screen the reason for the big cheer before the penalty was awarded?
Yes. We could see from the JMU that the screen wasn’t on then the cheer went up when you could see the green of the pitch on it

Although I thought it was comical how he was judged to have “fouled” Collins in the first half, who’s head & shoulders taller than him

It would look better if we hadn’t dropped 20 points from winning positions - but let’s blame it all on VAR
I don’t disagree that VAR has cost us SOME points, but let’s be honest we are in this position from our own doing
