Re: Umpires call in cricket v VAR

The technology in cricket and tennis is far more advanced than that in football and works because the games are stop start in any event. There are many natural breaks in play within cricket and tennis. VAR should be scrapped until such a point that the technology is capable of doing what they want ...

Re: Umpires call in cricket v VAR

I presume because they know that ball tracking can’t be 100% accurate, therefore unless all of the ball is hitting the stumps you go for umpires call. Works pretty well I think. Pretty simple for me with VAR. Well, two simple options. 1. Sack VAR off. It's crap and it's ruining the game. 2. If we h...

Re: Brighton showing us the way again by early business

I don't think anyone is saying that signing players early automatically results in success, but equally Dyche himself would readily admit that he'd prefer to have players in before pre-season kicks off. We're still a good fortnight away from that milestone, so this is clearly all a bit premature, b...

Not sure I'd have gone live with a website with no stock on, to be fair. You'd also question why a leather iPhone case is under electronics and why mugs are under pet accessories.

I imagine the answer to this is because the club can't communicate. The information that comes to supporters through the website particularly, but also through social media channels, is poor at best. If Garlick is giving that impression then he is, as always, erring on the side of caution. Football is flawed. That's what makes it so brilliant. Trying to 'perfect' it is what is going to be its downfall. I hate VAR. I think it's terrible. A big toe being offside is not what I want to see being overturned. If the linesman thought it was on, then go with his decision. Offsides should work...

Sounds pretty genuine and certainly reads as if it comes from Hazard himself. An unbelievable footballer. Shame he had to play for Chelsea, whose fans don’t deserve him. I think he decided on his story and then went looking for facts to support it. Essentially, Trippier hasn't played as well as Alexander-Armstrong or Walker this season, and he's better suited to wing-back than full-back. That's all the story says. Going into rambles about playing on loan for Barnsl...

Don’t really get the outcry. England aren’t balancing their play and are trying to play out from the back with players who can’t do it, particularly Stones who is ******* rancid.
