Clearly won the ball and his follow thru had to make contact. Did not look a deliberate attempt to injure the opponent. Hayden was just quicker and more committed. No red for me. Totally know what you mean but he is only commenting on the rules as they stand now and he was correct in saying it was a red. Obviously, back in his day, with todays rules, he would have never lasted 90 minutes :)

I was more shocked El Ghazi went off "injured". I'd have been very disappointed if one of our boys couldn't continue after that challenge? Extremely soft and, as said above, sat on the bench trying to insinuate he'd been elbowed was embarrassing.

BUT if you look at the overall picture he is a striker who is scoring a decent amount of goals in the PL. I like Burnley strikers who score. I don't just concentrate on one of their minor weaknesses.

I think if you popped Tripps in the Liverpool team he would be as effective as TAA. Why not? They clearly wouldn't be anywhere near challenging the top 6 without their owners. They quickly bought success by spending over £2bn (and rising) to obtain the players/manager so, in that sense, they are unbelievably plastic.

The main thing for me was Roberts - he pointed at the "injured" Villa player, his body shape was looking like he was about to kick it out which meant the Villa players stopped. To play the pass to on offside Klitch was disgraceful.
