Re: West Ham v Burnley - Player Ratings

We are massively depleted and to a certain degree not playing for very much apart from pride (realistically). The same 11/12 players are churning out 90+ mins in the Premier League every 3 days or so.....and we are more than holding our own and picking up some great results. Can you just not be a l...

You weren't watching the same game as we were then, that's for certain. Please explain - you are one of a few thousand who love getting 11 men behind the ball and defend for 95 mins and hit teams on the break - (which we are not great at) Not for me I would rather see us attack teams and I know its ...

Yeah a fantastic rear guard effort but going forward not so good and I would have hooked Vydra on 30 mins - awful

A forwards main job is to create and cause problems and not defend for 95 mins.

What a load of nonsense. Where was the mistake? How could anyone have foreseen any issues that might surface 18 months later? And the guesswork is even more nonsensical. What is unbelievable is your suggestion that chairman and manager are at loggerheads over it - it's happened, it happens at other clubs and the chairman fully supported the decision. It was no farce, you can laugh at a farce Vegas. It was a horrible period for the club with a distasteful, horrible, incompetent, nasty man in charge of our academy. I'll give Howe some credit, he made no attempt to take him back south with him.

I think there has only been one time I've been truly bewildered by the board and that was the failure to "stretch" the finances as Dyche puts it once we had qualified for Europe, a huge opportunity was missed imho. How has it been bad considering where we are in the Premier league?

The only clubs above us are those that have many millions to spend.
We have an old squad and this summer will need 5 or 6 and which some should have been brought in earlier.
