You have very strong opinions on gambling; what is your view of BFC effectively being saved by Barry Kilby and his money which he made through his gambling business? That’s a bit unfair. Gambling can wreck lives, including the lives of the families of addicts. The extent to which it’s promoted thes...

Hard luck England. Loved this World Cup. Lots of mistakes, poor passing, etc but exciting stuff. And very little play acting by the players. The penalty decision was correct but why did it take that long to make the decision? We could see on the BBC straight away that she’d been clipped. And how many...

Re: VAR at the Women’s World Cup

The length of time it takes to reach a decision is a major stumbling block. Some delays I just do not understand. The telly shows a replay of an incident within seconds and I can immediately see that it is/isn’t a foul or that it is/isn’t offside. The VA Referee should watch the bl**dy BBC highlights.

Re: Is VAR the future?

I think people get a little confused when they say that football is a physical contact game. I’m trying to think of physical contact in the game that is allowed. A shoulder charge has to be upper arm to upper arm or it is a foul. It is impossible not to foul a keeper when he comes for a cross with ...

I’m beginning to hate VAR and the absolute farcical decisions that come from it. Deliberate handball is a reasonable thing to penalise, but I’m absolutely gobsmacked by some of the decisions now being made, especially in European or international games. Do refs abroad have a different set of rules? ...

BBC 4 showing complete ignorance of the offside rule. Saying the player was in line for the disallowed goal but she was in line with the LAST PLAYER, not the second last player, so she WAS offside!

Not able to help with that one, but I'm sure I once attended an England v Scotland schoolboy international at The Turf back in the late sixties. (Or am I mistaken?) I went to that one - 1966 or 67?
