Re: Burnley v Luton

The goal was sickening but on the balance of play a draw was probably a fair result - particularly first half. Luton know how to play against us. There are easiest games for us than Luton. They had our number at the away game and we did well for a smash and grab. Similar last season, hard games. I d...

The net amount we've spent is a very large sum, but as many have said all the fees are within the region that they shouldn't be too hard to get at least 80/90% of what we paid should we go down. The teams that have struggled financially post relegation tend to be the ones that have signed experience...

Personally not devestated that we haven't broken the bank to sign Maatsen - he was fantastic for us, but his biggest strenght was often going forward and next year we're far more likely to be on the back foot. He'll do really well for Chelsea/team that has the ball a lot more.

It's much harder to recruit this year for at least 2 reasons: 1 - there are far less players capable of playing in the prem than the championship. 2 - we have gone from being one of the highest paying and most attractive prospects, to one of the least and lowest paying. Sometimes you need to buy assets when they become available even if not necessarily needed right now. If we think he's going right to the top, and is available now - then makes sense.
