Can only praise the Club for dealing with this with limited staff and as I am fortunate not to be dependent on the timing, it is however paid back before this season has ended.

Think Long and to some extent Bardsley are playing better now than at any time in their career. This is not surprising (when they are coached and obviously take it all in) by SD and DW and expect them to get better and better next season Same goes for Nick Pope and the other keepers with the excelle...

The Club and supporters ( especially the older ones like myself ) have much to thank Alan Brown for.
The development at Gawthorpe and the signing of wonderful players like Robson ,Connelly ,Miller,Blacklaw and Angus is a fantastic legacy.

Another excellent and informative article on our first post war manager which proved to be an excellent appointment.
Successful seasons and some excellent signings including probably the best one ever of Jimmy McIlroy will ensure he will always be remembered with fondness by all Claret Supporters.

Cliff Britton was certainly more successful than any Managers before him and not many after him.
Also at least he did not pass away while at the club in a train related death.

He did not have much success in his 3 years at the club and he was another of our managers who died in strange circumstances, this time on a train at the age of 64.
