Lovely kind words beddie- a very thoughtful post
Can still pay say £50 for a seat in a different stand for the odd game when my daughter is going over in the car to Lancashire and I can stay in Premier inn as I did on my last visit last season

Really enjoyed the period from 1956 until around 1962 when I was a kid and collecting autographs before kick off outside the Bob Lord Stand of all the a Burnley players . Re: RATE THE REF - Darren Bond v Brentford
He probably did but VAR check everything and VAR was lost for a period
Giving 4x 3 is ridiculous as players get minimum of 3 out of 10
Equals 30 out of 100
Referees get some decisions right in the 100 minutes played as players do
All about opinions of course

Great win whatever

Following Clinton Morrison and Mike Dean on Sky and they had no problem with the Referee
Apparently all communications with VAR were lost at the time of red card and penalty and that was why it took a long time for VAR to check it. ( they check all possible penalties and red card decisions)

If any posters went to the match would be great if they could add their scores to this post
John spends a lot of time on the “Rate the Ref” and it would give a better understanding of the referee performance with several scores.

Fair point but many of the others have not scored that many runs and have put catches down ( costing lots of runs).
Pope has several excellent catches and again as vice - captain the second name on the Team Sheet ( Ben Stokes would never leave him out)
